TUCN solar engine in World Solar Challenge competition Australia

The students and professors of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN) participated, for the first time for Romania, in the World Solar Challenge competition, with a solar vehicle built by the UTCN team and powered exclusively by solar energy. The competition started on October 22 and took place over a period of 7 days, during which the participants crossed the Australian continent from north to south, over a distance of 3000 km, between Darwin and Adelaide. The World Solar Challenge is the most important competition in the world of solar vehicles and involves a difficult route, on highways, but also in desert areas.
